Ice Storm Water Damage
An ice storm caused extensive damage throughout this unoccupied home. While we always try to dry as much as we can in place, sometimes that’s not possible. Sometimes the damage is so extensive, the materials can not be properly dried, and must be replaced. Often this is a function of how long it’s been since the water damage occurred. The sooner the mitigation process starts, the greater the chance of saving the affected materials/surfaces. Since this home was unoccupied, too much time had passed and there was no choice but to remove and replace the flooring.
A situation like this is a two step process. There are two services; the mitigation or drying and removal of materials that can’t be saved is the first step. The "rebuild" or replacing of removed surfaces is the second step. These two services are billed separately.
We are a full service restoration company offering both mitigation and rebuild services. Dealing with one contractor for both services makes the process so much easier for the customer and allows us to make your disaster "Like it never even happened." The "after" photo shows what things looked like after mitigation but before rebuild.
